2024 ECRN General Assembly - New Board Elected!

On 17.01 ECRN hosted its  2024 General Assembly in Brussels, at the House of the Dutch Provinces. 

It was a great chance to meet our members and discuss in person the network’s plans and commitments. ECRN approved its budget for 2023 and provisional budget for 2024, 2023 Activity Report, and its 2024 Action Plan. We also elected our new board, welcoming:

• President: Guido Guidesi, Regional Minister for Regione Lombardia
• Vice Presidents:
  Jeannette Baljeu, Regional Minister for South Holland
  Stephan Satijn, Limburg Regional Minister

We also welcome our newly elected Treasurer:  General Director of ACCIO' (Catalan Government’s Agency for Business Competitiveness),Oriol Alcoba; and our new board member from Mazovia Region Sylwia Sztark, Head of Unit Department of Regional Development and European Funds.

During the meeting, we renewed our commitment to skills development within the Pact for Skills and EU funded projects; highlighted the importance of  the digital transition for the chemical sector; and strengthened our pledge to circular economy and plastics recycling. 

The next years will be a turning point for the chemical sector as a whole, and a regional approach can be key for a just transition of the industry.
