Arne Weverling appointed ECRN Board Member

The European Chemical Regions Network (ECRN) is pleased to announce the appointment of Arne Weverling, Regional Minister of the Province of Zuid-Holland, as a new member of the ECRN Board.

Mr. Weverling brings with him a deep commitment to sustainable industrial development and regional cooperation. As Regional Minister, his portfolio covers key areas such as the transition of the port and industry sectors, maritime cluster development, and the management of water, soil, and climate change adaptation. He also oversees aviation policy and land management in Zuid-Holland, a region that plays a vital role in the Dutch and European economy.

Mr. Weverling is dedicated to ensuring the long-term strength and sustainability of the Rotterdam port and industrial area—one of Europe’s most important economic hubs. His collaborative approach, working closely with businesses, organizations, and citizens, reflects ECRN’s own values of partnership and innovation.

His expertise will be a strong asset to the ECRN Board, especially as the network continues to support regions in driving forward the green and digital transitions in the chemical and process industries across Europe.
